UN calls the Security Council to intervention about Machar forces in Congo

Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon called the Security Council to intervene and take decide on hundreds of rebel forces, led by former Vice-President of the Government of Southern Sudan Riek Machar, which has taken the Democratic Republic of Congo as refuge for them. According to reports, there are more than 750 soldiers accompanying with him.

The Secretary Ki-moon in his speech on 27 October to the Security Council said that more than 755 soldiers from the south Sudan rebels crossed into “Jarama” Park – in Congo.

Ki-moon noted that the fighters who were exposed for medical problems, they are currently healthy, and that the United Nations Mission in Congo (Monowsko) we must not continue support and provision of humanitarian aid to them.
